Sorry I did not see this earlier-- it has been a very crazy day. The client is currently running 2010 R1, but we are planning to move to 2013 after we finish the UK data conversion.
So I guess I want to validate that the plan I see would include a dedicated citrix box for the UK users with the UK install on it, pointing to the share sql server. Then the date on the citrix box would be set for the UK/European format and the extra items they need, such as the Vat tax books woudl be available.
I would then keep the US users installed ont he US version pointing again at the shared sql server.
The UK users will only have access to their database and not the other multiple databases in the US.
I just loaded a test of this and have not seen any issues, but want to make sure I am correct before I push for the dedicated citrix box. If you have any suggestions I wouel apreciate your input.
