RE: Management Reporter - Bad data and wrong base year?

Hello,

There may be something in your fiscal period setup that is causing Management Reporter to read your periods incorrectly. My guess is the dates are off some and that is why you are receiving incorrect numbers on your report, because the numbers are for a different time period.

Changing the default base period won't help any as you'd have to change the actual year and period. The default base period only sets the default date when you first open the report.

Management Reporter can be configured to use a direct connection using the legacy integration, or you can use our data mart which copies the data but provides many benefits including increased performance.

I would suggest building a trial balance using the Report Wizard or by using Edit | Insert rows from dimensions from the Row Definition. Try comparing a trial balance first since it is the simplest report.

You can have IT run the following query in SQL to see what Management Reporter has configured as far as fiscal periods based on GP. You may need to do some additional troubleshooting to identify what is causing problems in your fiscal periods not being correct.

select * from FiscalCalendarView

The Management Reporter blog is located here. There are lots of great resources to get you started using Management Reporter.
