How to denied posting until Users enter AA details?

a user some times forgets to entry AA distributions, even if the ANALYSIS TYPE IS REQUIRED  in accounting Class Maintenance for AA In financial/cards.

So, How to Do not permit for a user to post any transaction has AA with sub-module and financial, unless verified AA has correctly entered?

    after made maintenance action found

    - AA distribution with manual Payment  .. working good only with power user

I think there is security task should give to treasury clerk, to let AA error report appears to inform user there is no posting transaction, like happened with the sa.

I used their contacts feature to ask if they support GP 2013. Here is the list on their site -

How to retrieve more than 1000 Customer Address records using Web Services for Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013?

Need use Web Services to retrieve Customer Address. But it limits to 1000. Any suggestions or idea to workaround?

Recommended size of company databases

I asked this question of a couple people a few years ago at Convergence, but I'd like to see what the rest of the community has to say.  Is there a recommended size that a company database should stay below?  When I asked at Convergence, most databases seemed to be below 10GB; ours is significantly over that.

I agree that size is not necessarily an issue.  I am working with one of my clients currently to archive some of their data.  They have been a GP site for 10+ years and have lots of one off customers.  This has meant the number of customer records grows and grows.  That slows down processes such as statements that query all customer records.

So it is not necessarily about size, but maybe number of records attached to regular processes that can determine that it is time to archive.

Hi

I can't help with the coding - not my area of expertise at all.  However, have you considered using the vba to open and then close the window that needs activating?

I have seen vba code used to automatically open windows when you pass a field so the simplest way might be to try that approach.

Items Missing From GL Trial Balance Report - Searching for Root Cause

We have a Document ID that should have shown on the GL Trial Balance but doesn't. We can do inquiry on the DOC and see that it was paid on 5/7. It is within the account range for which we're running the report. Any idea what prevents items that are absolutely in the data from showing on the GL Trial Balance?

Sounds like a formatting issue in the Report Writer document.  I assume this is a modified form.  I would have whomever did the mods on it take a look at it and see if the formatting needs tweaked a little.

Hi folks,

Could you please help me with this problem? On some cheques,  the bottom portion of the cheque picks up the amount of the next cheque. Some cheques have the correct info on the bottom portion and some don’t.  I don’t know if this occurs when printing multiple cheques. I tried single cheque and it came out ok. The check format is Check with stub on top and bottom-Graphicall.

Lync integration with GP 2013

Hey guys,

On one of our VM's we have gp 2013 installed as well as Lync. We have an active office 365 subscription. We have seem to run all the proper runtime installations for GP, however, the lync functionality doesn't seem to be working with GP. When I right click someones name in Lync it doesn't let me create orders, quotes etc... Inside GP I can't automatically start a lync client.

Is there something I have to configure in order to get this feature to work?

Dynamics GP Modules are commonly categorized as open, work and history. Same applies for GL as follows;

  • Work for saved journal entries
  • Open for posted journal entries within an open year
  • History for posted journal entries within a history year

Removing transaction history on the module level doesn't affect the General Ledger, which is why you have a "remove transaction history" in each of the module. For instance, removing transaction history for the inventory module will remove the IV30300 table, which will result with losing the following details:

  • Item stock inquiry
  • Historical stock status

Although, removing the above will not affected neither open inventory tables nor the general ledger.

outlook integration, keeps asking for email & password, MAPI error message...

Our consultant started setting up Outlook integration.

Exchange was chosen as the mail service because GP and Outlook and Exchange 2010 are all 64-bit.

Upon trying to 'log in' to use Outlook integration, people are repeatedly asked to re-enter their email address and password...

Plus this error message occurs: "Connection to the MAPI server not available. Unable to send email or select addresses."

Exchange Web Services is installed (client access role) Exchange autodiscovery is enabled and working properly...

This is GP 2013 SP2 on Windows Server 2012 R2, SQL Server 2012 SP1...Exchange 2010 SP2...

How do we fix this?????????

All the users have an 'Outlook' profile which is their default....it comes from 'custom.prf' which is part of Office 2010....

How is this different from the statement, "Create a default mail profile on each machine where users are attempting to access the email functionality in Dynamics GP 2013."????

I ran Reconcile and Checks links but it does not help. Do you have scripts to delete damage records in backend withou exiting all users?

I have removed eOne SmartList Builder and I am still receiving this error.  Any ideas?
